Installation

LocalKeys is available for macOS and Windows. Follow the instructions for your operating system.

System Requirements

macOS: macOS 15 or later
Windows: Windows 10 or later
Storage: 100MB of free disk space

macOS Installation

Download the latest .dmg file from the website
Open the downloaded file
Drag LocalKeys to your Applications folder
Launch LocalKeys from Applications

Note

On first launch, macOS may show a security warning about an unsigned app. Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security and scroll down to allow "LocalKeys".

Windows Installation

Download the latest .exe installer from the website
Run the installer
Follow the installation wizard
Launch LocalKeys from the Start menu

CLI Tool Installation

The CLI tool is bundled with the desktop app. After installing LocalKeys, you can install it during initial setup or by clicking the ... button on the main screen.
